This is a certification process that facilities voluntarily seek identifying their ability to perform at nationally accepted standards. This rigorous review process helps hospitals to improve their performance and maximize their service delivery of patient care and demonstrate accountability within the ever changing healthcare environment.

This information is validated by the health plan at the time of the credentialing/re-credentialing process at least every three years, and through monthly reviews to update current changes. The hospital is responsible for notifying PacificSource Health Plans of any change in their accreditation status.

These are practitioner groups of physicians who have working relationships or associations. These groups are generally of the same or similar practice specialties.

As much as a malpractice suit may be a red flag, it doesn't necessarily mean that it was justified. It is not unusual for a suit to be filed for a death or injury beyond a doctor's control. Be fair and speak with the doctor rather than making a wrong assumption.
